Free Screening 

On our first meeting I use a few screenings before we get started. 

The first screening is to make sure your child is ready for the Barton Reading & Spelling System. Here is a link to that screening https://bartonreading.com/students/#ss  if you would like to, check it out to see if your child is ready.

I also use the PAST or Phonological Awareness Screening Test to determine a student’s level of phonological awareness and their degree of proficiency. I also use this assessment quarterly to gauge progress.

I use a weekly DIBELS Oral Reading Fluency to measure progress. This is a minute reading assessment that lets us know what level of intervention your child needs. It ranges from Blue - Core Support (or no intervention needed) to Red - Intensive Support (intervention very much needed)
